He may already be a dad of six, but while his relationship with his kids and ex-wife Angelina Jolie remains under immense strain, sources have revealed Brad Pitt is making plans to become a father again with his girlfriend Ines De Ramon.
“Brad and Ines would love to have a baby together – it’s something they’re both taking seriously and he’s made it clear it’s not going to be a one-and-done situation,” an insider tells heat.
“He has no doubt Ines will make a wonderful mum. The plan is to have at least one baby very soon, and then at least another one or even two right after that.”
Brad – who split from Angelina in 2016 – remains distant from his children following his ex’s allegations that he was abusive towards her, which he denies.
The children were all given the surname Jolie-Pitt, but court documents released last month showed that his eldest biological child Shiloh had filed to drop Pitt from her name on her 18th birthday and is now known by Jolie.
Similarly, her younger sister Vivienne, 15, is using Jolie as her professional surname in the playbill for the Broadway musical The Outsiders, on which she serves as a producer’s assistant. Last November, Zahara, 19, introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie at a college ceremony. Eldest adopted son Maddox, 22, is also believed to have dropped his name. Brad is also dad to Vivienne’s twin Knox and adopted son Pax, 20.
“Brad is very sad about the current situation with his kids,” we’re told. “But he insists that starting a family with Ines isn’t a reaction to that, and that he had every intention of doing it, regardless. People can speculate about his motives all they want, but the fact is Brad wants two, maybe even three kids with Ines. He really is a wonderful father, that’s why it’s so sad that things have disintegrated so badly with his kids.”
The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star, 60, has been dating jewellery designer Ines, 34, since late 2022 and insiders reveal he’s always wanted more kids. The source says, “The fact that he’s ramped up these baby plans at a time when most of his kids seem to have disowned him has certainly raised a lot of eyebrows. But Brad has always wanted more kids – though no one imagined he was serious or that he’d be signing up for changing nappies in his sixties. He can’t stop talking about how much he misses having little ones around.”
Ines was previously married to Vampire Diaries actor Paul Wesley, but they split in September 2022. She’s now thought to have been living with Brad since February of this year.
“Brad’s so happy to have found a woman like her. She’s not only beautiful, she’s smart and incredibly sweet,” the insider tells us.
“There’s zero drama, he totally trusts her and feels like they’re on the same page with nearly everything. She’s also been a huge support during the most difficult time in his life. He’s said that, if it wasn’t for her, he doesn’t know how he’d have coped.”
The source adds, “He’s doing his best to focus on all the positive things in his life and adding to his family is at the top of his list. He’s very eager for it to happen right away, but he’s trying not to stress about it. It’s given him an excuse for some extra romantic time with Ines – they’ve been taking little weekend getaways and spending a lot of time at home together.”
However, Brad’s baby plans continue to be overshadowed by his divorce from Angelina, 49. Our source says, “It’s a shame that he’s still locked in this awful battle with Angelina, and the kids have been dragged into it. That’s the one dark spot in his life.”
