The Fury actor has reportedly been turned away from a US jury because there were fears he would be too distracting.
Californian lawyer, William R Lively told the Mail: “You just can’t stick Brad Pitt in a jury box and expect 11 jurors to ignore him.
“It’s only natural that those jurors would be watching to see how Brad reacts to what’s being said and that they could be influenced by his opinions once the jury goes behind closed doors to render a verdict.”
Brad, 51, is claimed to have turned up to court in LA on 11 December, after receiving his summons in the post but, after being interviewed with other potential jurors, he was turned away.
To be honest, we’d probably spend a lot of time staring at him if we were on that panel so it’s probably for the best.
Last year, Tom Hanks was serving on a jury for a court case in LA but he was dismissed shortly after the case started after a female member of the LA City Attorney’s office broke the rules by walking up to him during a break.
The poor woman probably only wanted a selfie but, still, what’s law is law...
Defence lawyers in the trial later said the actor’s presence had left the court “star struck”.
