Without getting all political on you, it's probably safe to say Brexit's got its down sides. As if we weren't worried enough about how it'll affect the price and/or availability of our beloved prosecco, there's now talk of our phone bills being bloody sky high once we've exited the EU.
Noooo.
The issue of mobile phone data roaming charges is already an absolute minefield when travelling anywhere from Paris to Poland, though charges are set to be scrapped altogether June 2017. Amazing, right? Er...sort of. Except now the Guardian reports we might be receiving big bills within the union once again from 2019. Oh, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.
From June, users will actually be able to call, send texts and use data on their phones anywhere in Europe for the same price as they do over here in the UK. The thing is, though, the British government have somehow gotta secure a deal with the EU to ensure that's still the case post-Brexit.
A deal that, as yet, hasn't been made according to a leaked analysis by the European parliament's committee on industry, research and energy.
So, to cut a long story short, it looks like that cute Instagram of your coffee in Copenhagen might be costing a bit more again come 2019.
