The last few days have been the most exciting (and exhausting) time for Briana Jungwirth and Louis Tomlinson, whose son, Freddie
Reign, was born on 21 January.
#WelcomeBabyTomlinson was trending on Twitter in just under an hour, while Louis tweeted, “I’m pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday. He is healthy and pretty amazing. I’m very happy!!” Louis and Briana, who are not in a relationship, were later spotted leaving the hospital. It was the first time they’ve been pictured together since they hooked up in May 2015.
But while both seem to be adapting to new parenthood, the situation is strained. It was reported that Louis was banned from the delivery room by Briana’s mum and arguments over child maintenance made headlines worldwide. On top of all of that, friends say that Briana is struggling with life in the spotlight and the very public arrival of a new woman in Louis’ life in November – his girlfriend, American actress Danielle Campbell.
heat spoke to Luke Poole, 21, a good friend of Briana’s, about how she’s coping and it’s obvious there’s one thing Briana wants more than anything – Louis.
“Briana wants Louis around. It was hard on her having him start dating another girl while she was pregnant – it was difficult for her,” Luke tells heat.
“She’s understandably jealous. Briana likes him and hopes, now the baby’s here, that Louis understands she needs to be a more important figure in his life – she’s got hope [of a relationship] in the future.”
