Most importantly: will there be another Madonna moment again this year???
Brit Awards 2016 date
The 36th annual BRITs – organised by the British Phonographic Industry – will be held at London’s O2 arena on Wednesday 24 February 2016 at 8pm. It'll be sponsored once again by MasterCard, as it has for the last 18 years.
Brit Awards 2016 hosts
Ant and Dec are lined up to host the Brits for the second year running, and after their failed selfie with Kim Kardashian last year (the phone was locked - awkward), we’re already on the edge of our seats to see what mischief the cheeky Geordie duo will get up to.
Brit Awards 2016 tickets
You can still buy tickets for the Brits from www.viagogo.co.uk. They’re pricey - starting at £175 a pop and rocketing up to a whopping £2,750 for a prime spot - but worth it for the amazing star-studded line-up (more on that below).
Brit Awards 2016 nominations
Have a look through all the Brit Award nominations right here. The public can still vote for the best British Artist Video and British Breakthrough Act categories up until midday on Friday 19 February on the official BRITs website.
Brit Awards 2016 predictions
-
It's been a huuuuge year for both Adele and Justin Bieber, who have both released comeback albums and not only topped but completely taken over the charts.
-
Biebs is the hot favourite to win the International Male Solo Artist gong after beating both the Beatles and Drake by having the most singles in the Hot 100 in a single week, with an incredible 17 songs.
-
Adele's album 25 was the fastest-selling album of 2015, so who is more deserving of the British Album Of The Year award than the lady herself? She's also a top contender for British Female Solo artist.
-
Adele's closest rival for British Album Of The Year is triple Grammy-nominated and last year's Critics Choice winner, James Bay.
-
And let's not forget the One Direction boys; they may already be on their hiatus but they're up for British Artist Video with Drag Me Down. A lot has happened for the boys since the last BRITs - this time last year One Direction were still a five-piece, there was no baby Freddie Tomlinson and no hiatus, and as this award is voted for by fans, we’re pretty sure their dedicated Directioners won’t let them down, judging on their win last year for their You & I video.
-
British Artist Video could also be won by Ed Sheeran with Photograph, given that he finally won a Grammy this year.
-
Jess Glynne is also favourite to be a winner on the night, with five Brit nominations to her name, including British Breakthrough Act and British Female Solo Artist, so we'll be surprised if she doesn't bag herself a gong on the night.
Brit Awards 2015 winners
Just a selection of a few of our fave winners from last year:
-
Best British Album, British Male Solo artist: Ed Sheeran
-
Best British Single: Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for Uptown Funk
-
British Breakthrough Act and Global Success Award: Sam Smith
And here are all the rest.
Brit Awards 2016 live performances
British songstresses Little Mix and Adele are joined by Coldplay, Justin Bieber - who is performing at the Brits for the first time - and Barbados babe Rihanna, who has allegedly already been warned about keeping her language clean after Kanye West’s bleep-tastic performance last year.
(Though she had to pull out of her scheduled Grammys 2016 performance in February on the advice of her doctor, so who knows if she'll actually be able to perform?)
Brit Awards red carpet
The Brit Awards kick off from the moment the stars begin arriving on the red carpet, and here are a few of our favourite looks from 2015:
Little Mix oozed glamour in their long classy ball gowns, a perfect red carpet style.
Cara Delevingne broke the tradition of women wearing dresses in this effortlessly stylish red and black combo.
And Paloma Faith stunned in this divine Armani Privé dress.
Brits Madonna and THAT fall
Probably the most OMG moment of the Brits EVER has to be Madonna falling off stage after pulled down a flight of stairs by her dancers.
We can't lie, we all howled when this happened and as a guilty pleasure we have enjoyed watching it over and over since. Madonna fell while singing the ironic lyrics, "I'm gonna carry on, lifted me up, and watched me stumble", almost as if she decided on her own destiny...
Brit Awards 2016 Bowie tribute
Kate Moss is rumoured to be among a host of other celebrities including Noel Gallagher and U2 lined up to pay tribute to David Bowie, who died on 10 January this year. Following Lady Gaga's tribute to Bowie at this year's Grammy Awards, we can't wait to see the true British send-off he deserves.
