Lagi Demetriou, who found fame on Britain's Got Talent as one half of the Greek/Irish dancing duo Stavros Flatley, has reportedly been arrested on drugs charges.
Lagi appeared on the show along with his father Demetri back in 2009 when he was just 13 years-old, now aged 20 he has apparently been arrested over an alleged 'cannabis factory.'
According to The Sun, Lagi was arrested after police officers found "large amounts of a concentrated form of cannabis, known as 'shatter' or 'wax’," at an apartment he allegedly bought with money he made from BGT.
A source told the paper: "Police found about £50,000 worth in there. Lagi doesn't live there, he lives around the corner in another flat.
"He has told the police that his mate was a tenant there."
The police were alerted after fire fighters discovered a watering system for the cannabis plants after being called to the property last Tuesday, when neighbours expressed concerns about a leak.
Lagi's father is said to be deeply saddened by the news, but maintains that his son is innocent.
He told The Mirror: "The family are so upset, not with Lagi, we know he has nothing to do with this, but with the accusations.
"We are determined to prove his innocence."
While Lagi has not yet commented on the situation, yesterday the police confirmed a 20-year-old male had been arrested on suspicion of growing cannabis, but was bailed until May pending further enquiries.
