A former Britain’s Got Talent contestant has passed away, aged 18.

Only Boys Aloud member, Ryan Howell, has tragically lost his battle with bone cancer.

"We were deeply saddened to hear the news about Ryan," said Only Boys Aloud on Facebook.

"He was a much-valued member of Only Boys Aloud, and we shared some great times together.

"Our thoughts are with Ryan's friends and family."

Ryan’s mother Donna said: "He liked to make people laugh. That was his goal. He had an infectious smile.

"He would put a smile on your face. He was the best son I could have ever had.

“He died in my arms.”

Only Boys Aloud are a Welsh singing group, and came third in the 2012 series of Britain’s Got Talent.
