There was mixed reaction to Britain’s Got Talent’s hypnotic dog Princess and her owner Krystina Lennon, who made volunteers – including show hosts Ant & Dec – fall asleep during their audition.

But doubts set in on whether the act was any good when judge Simon Cowell struggled to be hypnotised, even though he later felt tired and slumped in his seat. With many other dog acts also through to the semi finals, can the hypno-dog beat the other competition to make it through?

Krystina told heat: “So far it’s the white dog that talks [Wendy] that is our biggest rival on the show. We’re going to try and hypnotise it to lose its voice!”

Krystina hit the headlines earlier this week in a row about calling the talking dog Wendy ‘ugly’, but she told us it was all a storm in a tea cup.

She added: “I just thought the dog looked a bit funny. It’s been blown out of proportion. It’s a really good, funny act. I thought it was brilliant, and if I didn’t think that it wouldn’t be the competition.”

BGT continues this Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
