It was announced earlier this month (April) that the '...Baby One More Time' legend Britney Spears had 'checked into rehab'after suffering from emotional distress. After many fans were 'concerned' about her well-being, the singer has now taken to Instagram to weigh in on how she is doing.
Sharing a video to her Instagram page, the star said, "Hi guys, just checking in with all of you who are concerned about me. All is well. My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately so I just needed time to deal, but don't worry, I'll be back very soon."
Within the caption, the star wrote, 'Don't believe everything you read and hear.', and also accused her ex-manager of ‘writing fake emails.’
The news comes after the 37-year-old shared an image on Instagram reading, 'Fall in love with taking care of yourself, mind, body, spirit'. She captioned the post, 'We all need to take time for a little 'me time.' :)'
The 'Oops…I Did It Again' singer revealed in January that her Dad almost died, and she would be postponing her Las Vegas residency.
A source then told People, "Her dad being sick has taken a toll on her. He nearly died and actually had another surgery a few weeks ago. He’s not doing well. They’re so close and it has been a lot. There is nothing dramatic going on with her, she just realised she needs to make sure to take time to care for herself."
