Britney Spears has publicly slammed her little sister, after Jamie Lynn gave an interview about her on Good Morning America.
The TV tell-all was to promote Jamie Lynn’s memoir, titled Things I Should Have Said. “I love my sister,” she said on the show. “I’ve only ever loved and supported her, and done what’s right by her and she knows that. So, I don’t know why we’re in this position right now.”
Britney later responded on Twitter, revealing she was ill and had only found out about the interview when she looked at her phone. “It was actually kind of nice having a fever so high cause I had to surrender to not caring,” she wrote. “Just couldn’t give a f**k, but my head hurt so bad.”
Britney, 40, said that the thing that bothered her most was “how my sister said my behaviour was out of control”, adding, “She was never around me much 15 years ago at the time… so why are they even talking about that, unless she wants to sell a book at my expense?”
Britney also savaged her sister for performing remixes of her hits and then claiming it “wasn’t my idea”. Brit wrote, “She never had to work for anything. Everything was always given to her.”
In the interview, Jamie Lynn, 30, also claimed she had helped Britney end her conservatorship, arguing, “I did take the steps to help, but how many times can I take the steps? She has to walk through the door.”
But Britney accused her family of “ruining my dreams”, sarcastically adding, “Hope your book does well!”
