Brody Jenner has broken his silence over his dad Bruce Jenner’s gender transition. Speaking to Extra, Brody echoed his step-siblings' message of support for the former Olympian who spoke publically about his journey, on ABC with Diane Sawyer, for the first time in April
“[I'm] very proud, very proud," Brody said. “It's been a journey for all of us but we're very supportive and I love him to death. It's really great to see how happy he is now.”
Since his tell-all interview with Diane, Bruce, 65, has appeared in a two part special of KUWTK called About Bruce – the second will air in the US this weekend – and was seen speaking about his feelings with his family.
“For all intents and purposes I’m a woman,” Bruce revealed. “I look at it this way – Bruce always telling a lie. He’s lived a lie his whole life about who he is. And I can’t do that any longer. My brain is much more female than it is male. It’s hard for people to understand that, but that’s what my soul is.”
Brody went on to say he felt Bruce’s decision to make his journey public was better than his 1976 Olympic gold medal win, before adding: “I think it's going to change a lot of lives and hopefully save a lot of lives.”
His brother Brandon has previously lent his support to Bruce in public, telling ABC, “I saw a sense of bravery that, for all of your previous accomplishments, I think far exceeds all of them. I'm just honored and more proud than ever to be a part of the family.”
