C'est La Vie. Blame It On The Weatherman. Just two songs of the many (four?) songs we can probably hum along to that B*Witched smashed out in the 90s. For anyone interested, the other two are To You I Belong and, okay, three. We can remember three.
Which is why we're overjoyed to hear that the girls (women) are incorporating brand new music into their comeback, rather than rehashing the old stuff. And, even more thrillingly, they've stopped wearing entirely denim outfits.
Speaking to The Sun, Edele (Yes! One of the twins! Remember the twins?!) said: "We’re gonna be what we are now musically and what we feel now.
"We’re not gonna try to tap into what we were because that’s nostalgia and the music industry has move on so much as we all have … we’ve updated it so we feel comfortable with it."
Good for them. And more good news: while Edele and Sinead had their differences, we watched them work through it all on ITV2's The Reunion (and if you didn't watch this, what were you doing with your life?) and it seems to have stuck. They're proper pals again.
"We're the best of friends again now and I talk to Sinead in particular every day and I wouldn't want my life without her again," Edele added.
Sinead said, of the "But I feel more together as a band now than we did at the beginning of rehearsals because we weren't a band at all, so it was actually quite awkward."
Because the girls were manufactured back in the 90s, rather than organically forming a group, they're actually really enjoying reuniting. Keavy has previously said: "I feel more together as a band now than we did at the beginning of rehearsals because we weren't a band at all, so it was actually quite awkward."
We're glad they're back, and we're glad they're not awkward about it.
Also, absolutely fascinated to see what tunes they bash out. Will keep you posted...
