In an interview for Piers Morgan's Life Stories, which aired last night **(Thursday, January 4) on ITV, Caitlyn Jenner opened up to Piers Morgan about her gender reassignment surgery, revealing the real reason she kept it hush from the Kardashians.
After Piers questioned Caitlyn on whether she sent an "entire copy" of her book The Secrets Of My Life** **to Kim Kardashian before publication, Caitlyn admitted" “except for the last few pages when I talked about gender confirmation.”
Piers then asked: “they didn’t know that you had actually had the surgery?” and Caitlyn replied “no I didn’t tell anybody. Why? It’s none of their business."
Piers also questioned Caitlyn on whether she thought this news was something her ex-wife and kids deserved to know before the entire world and Caitlyn confessed: “No it’s not that big a deal. Nobody knows. I had to be honest, the book is about honesty. It’s called The Secrets of My Life.” Piers suggested that the Kardashians had a right to be 'pretty pissed off' with Caitlyn and labelled her 'wilfully deceptive' for missing out the pages that revealed her news.
When pushed for answers, Caitlyn admitted the true reason she hid her news from the Kardashians: "I didn’t want them to leak it to the press. Ok? And there was no reason for them to know about it.”
Piers continued "so you didn't trust them" to which she repeated "of course I didn't trust them, yeah".
Despite Caitlyn's clashes with the Kardashians and confessing she 'doesn't really talk to them anymore', she still remains close to Kylie and Kendall.
Caitlyn revealed "the only ones I'm really concerned about are Kendall and Kylie, yeah they are biological kids. Although the Kardashians, I spent 23 years of my life carpooling those kids around, raising them, taking care of them."
