Caitlyn Jenner has hit out at rumours she is detransitioning from female back to male.
A friend of the star apparently claimed she may reverse her sex change and go back to living as Bruce Jenner.
But Caitlyn has poured water on speculation, with a representative telling the New York Daily News: "Of course it’s not true," adding that the tales are "idiotic".
Ian Halperin, author of the book Kardashian Dynasty: The Controversial Rise of America’s Royal Family, said a number of sources have told him Caitlyn is experiencing "sex change regret".
The longtime friend of Cait apparently thinks the reversal couple happen within the next few years, which we now know not to be true.
Author Ian told The Wrap Caitlyn’s pal said: "It hasn’t been easy for Caitlyn.
"She’s thrilled she has raised awareness about how transgender people have long been discriminated against but I think there’s a chance she’ll detransition in the next couple of years.
"I don’t think it would surprise anybody in her inner circle. It has been much harder than she anticipated.
"My heart goes out to her and I know her true friends will be there to support her on whatever path she chooses."
The biographer also claimed a number of people close to Caitlyn said her apparent thoughts were because she is still attracted to women.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Caitlyn has been very positive about her decision to transition from male to female in the past.
The former Olympian told Vanity Fair in an interview accompanying a photoshoot for the magazine: “The last few days of doing this shoot was about my life who I am as a person.
“It’s not about the fanfare, it’s not about the people cheering in the stadium, it’s not about going down the street and getting an ‘Atta boy Bruce’ pat on the back, okay, this is about your life.
“Soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free.”
