Kylie Jenner reacts to Caitlyn for the first time in I AM CAIT: ‘You’re not scary, you look pretty’

We’ve witnessed a confident Caitlyn Jenner take our screens with elegance, grace and a whole lot of spark throughout the first episode of I AM CAIT.

Towards the beginning of the episode, Caitlyn admits she has yet to meet the rest of her family. At the time this included her youngest child Kylie Jenner.

This quickly changes when the 17-year-old dials-in for an impromptu FaceTime call, which takes her parent by complete surprise.

"Hey daddy," are Kylie's first words as she admits she's sitting at the dentist.

After admitting her trip has left her "a little loopy", Caitlyn is heard telling Kylie: "I don't want to scare you, you look like you just woke up?"

Kylie's immediate response is: "You're not scaring me. You look pretty." Caitlyn's worry completely diminishes as she gives her daughter a reassured "good" and they then end the call with an exchange of sincere "I love yous".

"I didn't know it was coming on," Caitlyn tells the camera.

"I never had my first experience with somebody on FaceTime. To be honest with you, I didn't know what to do. I'm like, 'do I turn it away or...' I was kind of shocked. I thought, 'oh well, tada!'"

When Kylie comes to the house to meet Caitlyn in person, it's as if nothing has changed, which is comforting for them both.

However prior to the meet-up, Kylie confesses: "I do want to meet her. It'll be a little uncomfortable in the beginning, but I think we're both ready."

Kylie then does her Kylizzle thing and puts some of her blue hair extensions in Caitlyn's hair - which she loves. We heart Caitlyn.

Apart from the momentary worry about meeting Kylie, Caitlyn had bigger fish to fry - how was she going to sign her mother's birthday card?

Her friends quickly remind her, "she's Caitlyn now". And the left-handed beauty signs it, 'Love Caitlyn'.

"It's kinda tough to tell your mother all these secrets," admits Caitlyn.

"You always have doubts in your mind of how that first impression is going to work out. You want it to be so good. She's never met Caitlyn and I'm just hoping for the best."

The only time in the entire episode we see Caitlyn nervous is when she's about to meet her mum. Seconds before, she says: "Oh God, here we go."

Her mother eases the situation with the words, "I knew it would be (OK)." While her sister's Pam and Lisa - filled with tears in their eyes - interrupt with a continuation of, "you're gorgeous".

Talking to the camera, Pam says: "I was quite apprehensive. I knew she would be different looking. And I was hoping that she would have the same personality as Bruce, and she does. And she's so relaxed and so happy. That makes me very happy."

It is then Caitlyn reveals she's been speaking about her transition for a tremendous 35 years.

The sisters re-live that it has in fact been 'that long,' while Esther tells Caitlyn: "And you never talked to me about it."

She immediately let's her mother know: "I know but we can sit down and talk about that."

"I never knew. I never guessed that you were having a problem. You hid it very well," Pam adds.

"I guess I've been preparing myself. I knew he was going to be dressed as a woman. I think he's a very good looking woman. He's still Bruce."

"It's a lot of getting used to. But I will."

We've shed multiple smiles and tears during this first episode of I AM CAIT and we can't wait for the second ep already!
