Caitlyn Jenner has revealed how she contemplated suicide during the first episode of I AM CAIT.
She opens up while listening to news of another transgender-related suicide, this time a 14-year-old named Kyler.
Caitlyn admitted: "I know how these kids can feel. I've had some very dark moments in my life," she said. "I have been in my house, with a gun, and said 'let's just end it right here. No more pain, no more suffering'. That struggle, it's real. And I've been there."
In the first emotional, much-anticipated episode of I AM CAIT, Caitlyn not only admits the struggles of meeting her friends and family for the first time, but about being a role model for other transgender people out there. In particular transgender-teens.
Caitlyn, who is very optimistic about the future, admits she wants to help others who have been through the same as her - to give them hope that help *is *out there.

Speaking on the positive response she's received, she said: "The response has been very good and that makes it better. If that response had been 'oh my god what a weirdo' it would be a lot more difficult. But people have really been behind my honesty and I really appreciate that.
"I'm very optimistic about the future and I'm dragging you (her mum) along with me."
In an uplifting manner, Caitlyn discusses reaching out to people, 'one soul at a time' to decrease, and hopefully one day stop, the terrifying suicide rates in transgender-teens out there.
"Here's my attitude, when you've been what I've been through it affects a lot of people. My entire family has had to go through this transition and all those things will be worked out in time," Caitlyn continued.
"Right now what I want to be able to do is to create an understanding so the next person doesn't have to be like me."
"We have to be able to reach out, one soul at a time and figure this problem out."
The former Olympian goes on to speak about some of the darker moments in her life she has overcome.
During the episode, Caitlyn is listening to the news of another suicide, this time a 14-year-old named Kyler.
"That's the problem. That's the problem that we have here is, it happens all the time. Suicide is a permanent solution for a very temporary problem," she said.
"And most of the ones that are at risk are these young kids, who have their whole life ahead of them. It just doesn't need to happen."
Adamant to make a difference to the trans-world, Caitlyn pays a visit to Kyler's mum, Catherine, to offer her support 'as a friend'.
In her mission to 'learn about people' Caitlyn reels off more devastating news, before admitting she wants to spend a little bit of time with Catherine to find out what they can do to make a difference.
Before meeting her Caitlyn says: "I don't know what I can do at this point but, just be a friend,"
"We need more tolerance and empathy towards other people. It's so hard for young people, because they can't see the future and because of that they become extraordinarily desperate. And suicide becomes an option. We have to do something about that".
On route to the Prescott family household, Caitlyn also has to duck paparazzi and changes car THREE TIMES to outwit them and get to the family home in secret.
