Last night, Calvin Harris and Florence Welch hit out at the Tories for using their music to introduce Theresa May's conference speech, without permission.

You've Got The Love by Florence + The Machine, and This Is What You Came For by Calvin Harris and Rihanna were played as the PM made her entrance.

Both musicians have taken to Twitter to complain and clarify that they are absolutely not having it.

Scottish DJ, Harris wrote to his 12 million followers: "Conservative party conference playing my song was not approved - I do not support nor condone happy songs being played at such a sad event."

He also tweeted: "Also cough plus grey complexion suggests liver cleanse needed-blood prob very dark -body trying to cleanse but lack of nutrients pls google".

This was after Florence Welch tweeted that she was not happy about her cover of Candi Staton's 1986 hit being played at the event:

Well if it's any consolation for them, they’re not the only ones. In 2010, Keane blasted the Tories for playing their song Everybody's Changing at the party's manifesto launch and Adele has told Trump to stop using her music for his campaigns.
