And hubba-hubba hottie Calvin Harris has apparently taken the sweet old adage to heart and been messaging former *Ex On the Beach *starlet, Megan Rees.
You remember Megan. Well, actually you might not. She was rather overshadowed in her series by Megan McKenna, Vicky Pattison, Stephen Bear – prince of our hearts – and Jemma Lucy.
But here's a reminder.
And maybe Megan will have the last laugh, fame-wise, if a relationship with Calvin takes off. Although we're not sure how she'd fare in a fight with Rita Ora, who is thought to be making a play for her former boyf.
It's said that Calvin has been sending messages to the reality TV star after following her on Twitter.
In exchanges that The Sun claims to have seen, Calvin is said to have chatted to Megan, saying: "Any time. Are you in the UK this summer other than coming over for…”
As his absolute right as a single gentleman to do.
Calvin has been upbeat about his split from Taylor Swift on Instagram.
After being accused of jealousy of Taylor's new relationship with Tom Hiddleston he told a follower: "Not jealous, sir, FREE."
He's also Snapchatted himself singing: "I'm feeling sexy and free."
Wowzers.
Megan's manager told us that the pictures of Megan's phone that show her chat history with Calvin were taken without Megan's knowledge.
The most interesting chat history on our phone is a discussion with our mum about if the dog's had his medicine. Such is our life.
