We don’t think we’ve ever seen Cara Delevingne looking so happy. She’s madly in love with her girlfriend, Annie Clark, and is travelling the world promoting her latest film* Paper Towns*. Life is good.
But there’s one thing Cara can’t seem to escape: questions about her sexuality.
An interview in Vogue last month sparked controversy when the writer appeared to imply that Cara’s bisexuality was a ‘phase’. Angry fans even started a petition – which got over 12,000 signatures – to try and get the high fashion magazine to issue an apology.
But Cara, who’s graced the pages of Vogue more times than we can remember, has given an interview in which she clarified the remarks and insisted she felt their was nothing ‘malicious’ about Vogue’s wording.
“My sexuality is not a phase – I am who I am,” Cara told the New York Times.
Let’s hope this is the end of it.
The 22-year-old also credited her relationship with Annie to helping her become a better actress.
“Being in love helps, you know?” Cara said. “If you're in love with someone, you can be with them like no one else is in the room. Acting is like that. It's like taking that feeling and turning it on so nothing else matters when you're looking in another actor's face.”
