Angie Bowie has been told about the tragic passing of her ex-husband, David Bowie, and has decided "to continue" in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Channel 5 has confirmed: "Angie Bowie has been informed off camera by her representatives. The decision to remain in the house is entirely her choice, and she has been given the option to leave at any time if she changer her mind."

The show’s normal strict rules (well, sort of) about housemates having no connection to the outside world were broken today in order to tell Angie about David’s passing.

Since the announcement of David’s death, fans have been questioning if Angie will be told, but also if this could lead to her leaving the show.

Although their marriage ended on bad terms, with the pair thought to have not spoken for 40 years, Angie still shares son Duncan Jones with the late rock star.

Speaking to David Gest earlier in the week whilst in the CBB house, Angie revealed that she has no contact with her son and blames this separation on David.
