Celebrity Big Brother is all about the group experience: being shoved together under one roof and not being able to escape for weeks on end, while your housemates shave their legs and fake tan their bits mere inches from you face.

That’s just the way the show rolls.

Only now it’s come out, via the Daily Star that Katie Hopkins has actually been sleeping in a separate room to her housemates the whole time she’s been on the show.

DON'T MISS

A spokeperson said: “Katie Hopkins has separate sleeping arrangements in the house due to a pre-existing medical condition.”

However, Katie’s medical reason for being separated from the rest of the contestants at night is epilepsy.

She's previously spoken about her condition, saying: “I am epileptic. I see it as a weakness, I always have done, which is why I hid it for more years than I care to remember.”

“My night time fits remain uncontrolled. My epilepsy sometimes dislocates my arms in the night. It has done 28 times in the past 12 months.”

It’s understandable, then, that Katie’s contract contains a clause allowing her a separate room. One thing that we DON’T get, however, is Patsy Kensit’s spray-tan clause in her contract. But hey, these celebs WILL get their way.
