Tattoos come in all shapes and sizes and in recent years the popularity of tattoos has soared, both for celebrities and members of the public. 'Sing' pop star Ed Sheeran has countless very colourful tattoos, including a large lion on his chest, jigsaw pieces and some of his lyrics on his arms.

Actress Emma Watson had a new Time's Up tattoo on her forearm in 2018. However the tattoo left her fans confused as instead of reading, 'Time's Up', Emma's tattoo misses out the apostrophe and instead reads, 'Times Up'.

Little Mix Star Jesy Nelson has a number of tattoos across her body, including the symbols from a deck of cards on the fingers on her left hand. The pop star also recently had three new tattoos, including one on her face.

David Beckham is reported to have over 40 different inkings on his skin, and his son Brooklyn is on track to surpass him as he apparently already has around 20 tats. In 2018, Brooklyn had a tattoo which shows a group of cherubs frolicking in the clouds, a similar picture to one that David has on his own chest.

Justin Bieber has a heavily tattooed body as the photo shows. The pop star took to Instagram to reveal it took over 100 hours worth of work to turn his torso into a 'canvas'.

After dating Zara McDermott for only a number of weeks, Love Island 2018 star Adam Collard showed off a brand new inking declaring his love for Zara. Adam has a small 'Z' on his hand.

Take That member Gary Barlow has a meaningful tattoo on the inside of his wrist to mark his relationship with his wife Dawn, after nearly 24 years together.

Katy Perry has a number of inkings including two small ones on her ankles. To mark the end of her 'Witness' Tour, Katy Perry had her 4th tattoo. She revealed she already has three tats, 'A Strawberry, a peppermint, and a prism triangle', later posting a photo of a new planetary design on her wrist.

One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has a many tattoos all over his body. In 2018 he got a tattoo done by fellow X Factor judge, Robbie Williams. Louis was able to ink a clean X onto Robbie's arm, but when the time came to swap places, Robbie could be heard shouting, "Oh! I don't know what happened there."

The X Factor judge Robbie Williams is known for having many tattoos including the one pictured above on the side of his neck. Earlier this year he 'unveiled' a huge tattoo on his chest of his face, however some fans weren't convinced it was real as a similar photo (without the inking) was posted a few years ago.

In 2018 she had matching tattoos with her friends, revealing the lovely reason behind the four friends having the number four tattooed on their bodies. In January 2018, Tom Hardy proved he's a man of his word and finally got the tattoo he promised his friend Leonardo DiCaprio he'd get, if Leo won an Oscar.Tom lost the bet when he said Leo would not receive an Oscar for his role in The Revenant back in 2016, however, the actor went on to win the award for Best Actor.The new inking was noticed after Tom posed for a selfie with fans.
