On some film and TV sets the wardrobe department is gigantic and incredibly costly. However, that’s not always the case, especially when your film features actors who say, ‘No Thank you’ to a no nudity clause. If you have a famous bottom to be proud of then, by all means, take off your pants and show it to the world. Bonus being you’re going to get a shed load of cash for it and the honour of appearing on the list below.
Eva Green

It took just two films for Eva to rack up an impressive thirty minutes of naked time. By 2023 she had been starkers in a total of 15 scenes from films such as 300: Rise of an Empire, Sin City and Perfect Sense. While much has been made for her apparent dislike of clothes, she’s not the exhibitionist that some might believe her to be, telling W magazine, 'I am so shy, and, at the same time, I kind of expose myself literally to thousands of people. I don’t really understand why I do that. I need to go through therapy!'
Emma Stone

If you’ve seen Emma Stone’s Oscar winning role as Bella in, Poor Things then you’ve seen her naked, a LOT. Emma has said that closed sets and intimacy coordinators while filming Poor Things made the nude and sex scenes easier and those scenes, she says were crucial for her character’s development. 'One of the things that we had talked about from very early on and I thought was extremely important was that Bella is completely free and without shame about her body,' But it wasn’t the first time we’d seen Emma’s incredible physique in all it’s glory. The Hollywood sweetheart had been working up to her role by shedding clothes in previous films, Kinds of Kindness and The Favourite.
Matthew McConaughey

If you thought Magic Mike was the only time Matt had got his kit off for film goers, then you’d be sorely mistaken. Famously he refused a stunt bottom saying, '"I gotta dance, man." I would regret it for the rest of my life if I was in a male stripper movie and didn’t get up there and strip myself' And thank goodness he did because what a bottom it is! Of course, we can’t forget that he was arrested in 1999 for an incident involving marijuana and naked bongo playing but sadly there are no actual pictures of said musical nudity just his own admission, 'What’s wrong with beating on your drums in your birthday suit?' Quite right Matt! You can also catch him fully undressed in Gold, Serenity and The Paperboy, so by all means do.
Florence Pugh

When Florence starred as Katherine in the BBC’s adaption of Shakespeare’s MacBeth, it proved to be a total game changer for the actress who had previously felt nervous about nude scenes. Pugh said, 'Playing Katherine changed everything.’ She added, 'I loved the fact she was naked all the time. At that point in my life I had been made to feel s**t about what I looked like and that film was perfect, there was no room for me to feel insecure.' Since her liberation Florence had regularly freed her nipple on the red carpet winning her admiration all-round. She can also be seen sans clothes in Oppenheimer, Outlaw King and most recently that bath scene with an equally naked Andrew Garfield in We Live in Time.
Sydney Sweeney

With her breakout role as Cassie in Euphoria, Sydney cemented her status as bonafide bombshell. Since then the beauty has allowed her natural assets the screen time that they rightly deserve. Baring her A-list bits in her executive produced Netflix hit, Anyone But You, Nocturne and most explicitly in Voyeurs, she finds the fascination with her insane body perplexing, she said, 'I don't get nervous. I think that the female body is a very powerful thing. And I'm telling my character's story, so I owe it to them to tell it well and to do what needs to be done.'
Zac Efron

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, words that could NEVER be associated with the god-like physique of teen heartthrob turned household hunk, Zac Efron but a film where he does appear somewhat unclothed. And since his heady days playing basketball star Troy in High School musical, it seems he’s had little time for anything other than going to the gym, shedding his clothes and keeping his legions of adoring fans very happy indeed. While he’s been more than generous in allowing us tantalisingly close to the goods. A full frontal, he says comes with certain stipulations, 'Let’s just say I’m not opposed to anything, But if you’re gonna pull your d*ck out, it’d better be for an Academy Award-winning movie.' Sure he didn’t get an Oscar for, Dirty Grandpa, That Awkward Moment or even for his semi-nakedness in A Family Affair but they are still absolutely worth a watch.
Ewan McGregor

Believe it or not the award for the actor who has racked up the most on-screen nudity is none other than Ewan McGregor. From his breakout role in Trainspotting, he has since appeared naked in films, Young Adam, Velvet Goldmine, Fargo and Incendiary. But while the nudity itself doesn’t bother Ewan, he was concerned how his father would react to one extreme nude scene in 1996 film, The Pillow Book. 'I come from such a small, conservative, wee town in Scotland. When he phoned me and said, "We're going to see the film tonight, son", I just immediately had an image of me having sex with that old Japanese man.' Ultimately Ewan is totally relaxed about it and said, 'It's all about life. We're naked at the end of the day and we're sometimes naked in the middle of the day if we're lucky.' Lucky us Ewan.
