Superstar and singing legend Celine Dion suffered another tragic loss yesterday, as her brother Daniel Dion lost his fight with cancer just two days after her husband René Angélil lost his battle with the same disease.
The news was confirmed to E! News yesterday just hours after it became public that Daniel's illness was terminal after a battle that had lasted a few years.
Daniel was one of Celine's 13 siblings, and although Celine understandably hasn't yet commented on the death of her brother, a statement was released saying "His last days were in the wonderful care of the doctors and personnel at Maison Adhémar-Dion, a palliative care center in Terrebonne Québec. For those wishing to send flowers, a donation to that organization would be very much appreciated".
Celine's sister Claudette also said in a recent interview with* Le Journal de Montréal* that the whole family were at his bedside and that "He was ready and no longer suffers. It was serene".
It was reported that Daniel passed away at 5a.m. on Saturday morning, just two days after Celine's husband of 20 years who died on Thursday at age 73 of throat cancer.
