Another of our teenage dreams has been smashed to absolute smithereens today. Chad Michael Murray – AKA Charlie on Dawson’s Creek, AKA Lucas on One Tree Hill – has had a baby.
Well, not him, because that would be quite weird, but his wife.
Sooooo, that’s probably not going to happen for us then, although we’ve been fixated on him since he appeared on Dawson’s Creek in 2001 with his beautiful blonde hair and dreamy smile.
He romanced Jen Lindley, who was clearly always the coolest character on the show. It was all so perfect.
Siiiiiiigh.
Our utmost congratulations go out to Chad, however – and his wife Sarah Roemer, and the little baby boy, for being born, of course. Well done on that, little fella.
Imagine that little baby Chad-a-like, and try not to get all broody.
Chad announced the news on Twitter, in between talking about American football, of course.
Chad and Sarah met while filming Chosen last year and had a secret wedding in January.
Last month Chad told Bello magazine: "[Fatherhood] the greatest thing in the whole world. I'm going to sit back and enjoy this new chapter."
On a side note, we’re hoping that Bello magazine is dedicated mostly to bellows and other types of deep, roaring noises. We’re sure Chad’s wife made a few of those when she was giving birth.
