You may have heard of the Jimmy Kimmel Live segment, in which parents make videos of them telling their kids they ate their Halloween candy as a joke (it’s hilarious).

This year, Channing played the same trick on his daughter. And it’s absolutely adorable (and also very mean).

After he shows her the empty bucket, she goes over to her mum - who’s filming - and buried her head in her leg.

Channing then says at the end: “"You're right, that really was not funny. I'm so sorry, baby. I hope you forgive me someday for that."

Channing earlier this year penned an essay for his daughter in Cosmopolitan magazine.

In it, he expressed his wish that she’d always have the courage to be her “authentic self”. And our hearts melted a little bit.

He wrote: "I don’t want her looking to the outside world for answers. My highest hope for her is just that she has the fearlessness to always be her authentic self, no matter what she thinks men want her to be."

Oh, Channing, you are TOO MUCH.
