Charlie Sims sensationally announced his departure from TOWIE this morning with a flurry of tweets and we’ve been left gobsmacked, quite frankly.
Now the TOWIE press office has released an official statement – which says the real reason he's left.

“We haven’t been able to film with Charlie for several days because he hasn’t felt comfortable sharing his real life on camera and that is an essential part of being in TOWIE,” reads the statement.
“As such, we have decided he will no longer be part of the show; we agree that it wouldn’t be right for him to continue and wish him well in the future.”
However, Charlie’s tweets make it sound more like he made the decision to leave.

See, “I won't be taking part anymore. It's time to grow up and move on” sounds more like Charlie’s walked out, right?
But producers insist that they “have decided he will no longer be part of the show”.
