Have Charlize Theron and Sean Penn split up?

There's been reports that Sean Penn and Charlize Theron have split after a mere eighteen months.

According to US Weekly, the Prometheus and a Million Ways To Die In The West star, Charlize, is the one that's thought to have called things off, although the exact date of their split isn't known.

The pair, who might have been secretly engaged, were last seen together in Cannes promoting her latest film Mad Max: Fury Road, and then a few days afterwards the pair were spotted in Vienna at the Life Ball.

Since then Sean Penn was seen attending a U2 concert without her, perhaps so he could see if The Edge fell over again. Meanwhile Charlize is now in London filming her next film, The Huntsman.

Other reports have suggested the pair have been living separately for a little while now, with Charlize in Hollywood with her son Jackson, and Sean staying in their Malibu home, which was up for sale, but has now been taken off the market.

Things seemed to be going to well earlier this year, with the Monster actress telling Esquire UK: "I'm a very, very, very lucky girl. Very lucky. He's hot."

She also told Elle that Sean is 'love of her life' in their June issue.

So we'll keep our eyebrows firmly raised until we know if the pair are officially over.
