Charlotte Crosby’s boyfriend Mitch Jenkins pranks Geordie Shore girlfriend telling fans they’re ENGAGED!

We were all ready to buy a hat for Charlotte Crosby's wedding to boyfriend Mitch Jenkins after she appeared to tweet she was engaged on Wednesday night.

But it seems the reality star and her beau were up to their ususal antics - Mr Jenkins hijacked Char's phone after a night out.

A message appeared on Charlotte's Twitter page, which read: "OMG I SAID YES!"

The tweet was sprinkled with a few love emojis including a ring, a girl in a veil and a heart.

Putting his own spin on it, boyfriend Mitch posted on his page: "Only gone and got me self a ball and chain."

However, one of Charlotte's best pals, former Geordie Shore co-star Sophie Kasaei, cast some doubt on the matter, writing: "MITCH GET OFF CHARLOTTES TWITTER THIS IS NOT FUNNY."

And it seems Sophie was right. BOO!

Prior to setting the record straight, Charlotte was inundated with congratulatory messages from fans including former Geordie Shore co-star Ricci Guarnaccio, former Celebrity Big Brother favourite Luisa Zissman and The Only Way Is Essex regular Sam Faiers.

Charlotte and Mitch are both Down Under where they have been lapping up the Australian sunshine.

While they may not be ready to marry just yet, the pair keep the romance alive in their relationship in their own special way, with Mitch writing earlier in the day on Instagram: “I love this alien looking girl I want to get in her UFO and kiss her gangly body and give her a good anal probing on her Uranus.”

Charlotte got her own back on Mitch by sharing a picture of him sprawled out on their bed completely naked in their hotel room with her 2.2 million Twitter followers.

The couple have had a rocky relationship in the past and split last September after 18 months together.

Mitch ended the union over the phone by text message just before Charlotte entered the Geordie Shore house to film the new series.

But they got back together after the former Celebrity Big Brother champ overhauled her body and lost two-and-a-half stone.

On Valentine’s Day last month, Charlotte got an ‘M’ tattooed on her arm to show her commitment to Mitch.
