Cheryl Fernandez-Versini hits back at X Factor auditionee: “DON’T say that”

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has hit back at one* X Factor* auditionee after the would-be singer made a joke about infidelity.

Cheryl, who divorced first husband Ashley Cole after he cheated on her with a string of women back in 2010, was reportedly furious when one hopeful made a crass comment about other people's husbands.

The singer asked a pair of auditionees whether they had husbands, and one replied: "No. Well, not my own!"

Cheryl hit back: "In future, don't make jokes about stealing husbands."

Ouch.

The newly updated judging panel have been working together for the first time this week after the second round of auditions opened in Manchester.

Cheryl will be joined by* X Factor* grandee Simon Cowell and newbies Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw.
