Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and her publicity shy husband Jean-Bernard touched down in France today for the Cannes Film Festival where they fell in love 12 months ago.
The couple met through friends and were spotted in public for the first time in May last year. After a whirlwind romance (who can blame Chez,, he’s a very handsome Frenchman...) the pair married in an intimate ceremony in Mustique just three months later.

Cheryl was très modern and announced her engagement through the internet, telling fans: “I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news. Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14. We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together.”
Cheryl’s mum, Joan, her PA Lily and her brother Gary were guests at the ceremony.
Since getting wed, the couple have led a life out of the spotlight. During Cheryl’s come back on The X Factor last year the couple continued to be low key, although lovely Jean-Bernard was like Cheryl’s shadow as he advised and helped her throughout the process.
It was rumoured that the former Girls Aloud star was planning to start a family with JB but she rubbished the claims and said she was happy as she was.
“I've got 11 nieces and nephews, and I've been through every single stage with all of them,” Cheryl told Marie Claire. “I had three of them down a couple of weeks ago and I love having them but it's also nice saying, 'Bye! Go see your mam and dad now!’
“I love babies, but not quite yet. I mean, never say never, you can never say never, in life. Full stop. About anything.”
