Life is so much simpler when The X Factor is on – the only dilemmas you’re faced with are which takeaway to have and how to get your mum to stop talking over the TV.
But it’s not been all that simple behind the scenes of the show lately. Although our spirits were SLIGHTLY lifted when we heard Olly Murs might replace Dermot O’Leary as presenter.
But despite the huge shake-up of The X Factor and the show undergoing a major re-vamp, (first Dermot, and now Louis?) it’s been revealed that Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is said to be returning to the ITV series.
Yes, while Louis Walsh and Mel B’s futures on the show are still uncertain, the Geordie lass will apparently be returning to the judge’s chair once again.
Talking to The Sun, a source said: "They haven't signed a deal yet but Simon, Cheryl and ITV are all on the same page. But that's really bad for Mel. She had a good first year but bosses want a new line-up.”
Ex-judge Tulisa Contostavlos, 26, is also said to be on the list if Mel B gets the axe. Now we’re off to crack open a chocolate egg to ease this tension…
