Cheryl Fernandez-Versini blasts people as “ignorant” for forgetting her new name

Being a good citizen of Planet Earth means being on your best behaviour and abiding by the laws our great (or not so great, whatevs) leaders set.

But when hanging out with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini there’s one rule you MUST NOT forget – NEVER, EVER get her name wrong!

The X Factor judge secretly got married to her French man Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in July meaning her former married name, Cole – from when she was hitched to footballer Ashley – is a thing of the past.

And the former Girls Aloud singer, who ALSO once went by her maiden name Tweedy, seems pretty annoyed people are failing to call her by her new name.

She told Marie Claire: “It’s come quite naturally, you know. People are so ignorant about it, they just start calling us Cheryl, but I’ll take that, whatever.”

She’ll take it? Well, one name worked out pretty well for, uhm, you know, JESUS.

Meanwhile, her boss Simon Cowell thinks she managed to strike it lucky with her bloke’s unusual moniker and she secretly wants people to call her just by her first name so she can join the likes of singing legends Madonna and Cher.

She said: “Yeah on purpose, so I could be like Madonna? See how his brain works. I mean, who even thinks like that?”
