Cheryl’s ex Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini slams Liam Payne after break up news

When you're the nations sweetheart, it's not surprising that you'd have men fighting over you.

That's exactly what happened to Cheryl when her ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini bumped into Liam Payne at Chiltern Firehouse recently - and it seems he isn't done with the feud just yet.

The star's ex has weighed in on her recent break-up with the One Direction star, claiming he always knew their relationship was doomed.

A pal of the Frenchman told The Sun, "JB always knew Liam and Cheryl wouldn’t last - she is 10 years older."

Following the lads' run-in at the London eatery, the pal also shed light on the night in question, revealing, "Liam was worse for wear. He was goading JB but JB said he was not going to get involved with a ‘little 24 year old boy’.

"He’s not one to cause a fuss and realised Liam was only acting like that because was a little tipsy.

‘’Liam would not have stood a chance in any fight. JB is very fit and exercises all the time. He didn’t want a scene and was happy to leave.”

It seems JB is still pining over Bear's mum, as his mate then added, "If Cheryl walked back into his life he would give their relationship another go."

Who wouldn't?!

"Marriage has always been sacred for JB," they continued.

"He loved Cheryl deeply. She was the only family he had. He was upset they finished and always wanted to protect her and still does."
