We couldn't contain our excitement when we discovered Cheryl would be joining Simon Cowell at the judges' houses stage of The X-Factor this year.
And now it looks like it could be the start of a more permanent role for the new mum. At least if her baby daddy Liam Payne is to be believed.
The former One Direction star opened up in The Sun's Bizarre column about life as a dad, his solo career success and the imminent return of Cheryl to a screen near us soon. Don't tease us Liam!
He said: "Cheryl and Simon spoke about her going back next year. Obviously Simon is desperate to get her back.
"Cheryl and Simon have such a lovely relationship. Obviously she’s been off for quite a long time with Bear but it was great for her to get back out and do the Judges’ Houses."
And while Cheryl has been enjoying motherhood, Liam thinks it's could be time for his girlfriend to make a comeback.
He added: "She’s got to do what she’s got to do. Honestly, she’s been so supportive of everything I’ve done so far. We’re all edging for her to get back to work, it’s just finding the right time and the right way to do things.
“This is the first time she’s been away from the industry for a long period of time in her whole career and sometimes that’s a beautiful thing to have.
“She’s got the opportunity to choose exactly what she wants to do and I think it’s great."
And with Liam finding it more and more difficult to be away from his little family, he's clearly thinking ahead to a time when they can be together more of the time.
He said of Cheryl: "She’s very busy in ‘mum land’ at the moment, but also quietly gearing herself up for something.
“In the future, maybe we will have to think of a baby-proof tour bus."
