Cheryl just took to Twitter to furiously hit back at critics of her relationship with Liam Payne – after their appearance at the BRITs was labelled a ‘stunt’ by some commentators.

She wrote: “Oh stop 😩 no one cares who’s been speculatively arguing or not in their relationships 🤦🏻‍♀️ use your platform to put something productive in your columns 🙏🏻 I opened a centre this week that could help thousands of youth!!!!🙋🏻‍♀️ ....".

Cheryl then followed it up with: "..Oh and your “stunt” theories are just ludicrous and a bit weird 🤔💁🏻‍♀️".

Wowzers.

It was reported earlier this week that Liam and Cheryl were on the rocks and that Liam had been 'talking to a divorce lawyer'.

However, the two shut down split rumours when they put a united front on at the BRITs last night - but some commentators claimed it to be a publicity stunt.

Cheryl's Twitter outburst is an unusual move for the star - who usually tends to keep quiet over speculation about her private life.

She dodged a question about the split the day before the BRITs during her appearance on BBC Breakfast where she was discussing Cheryl's Trust, her new partnership with Prince's Trust.

When asked if she felt frustrated by speculation about her private life, Cheryl said: "No it doesn't bother me at all, my focus is solely on this. [Cheryl's centre] I've waited seven years to finally be here, and none of that matters. This is the most important part for me."
