Who is the real Sasha Fierce?

Surely this has to be a joke, right? How do you mix up Adele and Beyonce? Sure they’re two divas in their fields, but, really?

Chris Evans made a BIG boo-boo when he decided to confuse Adele for Queen Bey live on radio.

We’ve only been waiting for new Adele material since she released* Skyfall* in 2012 and then good ol’ Chris gets her in for a chat and fluffs it all up.

While on Radio 2, he asks the songstress about her ‘alter ego’ Sasha Fierce. Er, whaaat! Sasha Fierce is BEYONCE.

Seriously, can we not even rely on the powers of Google at all these days?

Chatting to the Hello singer, Chris asked: "Don't you have this kind of alter ego that you pretend to become?"

Clearly confused, Adele replied: "No, not really, I mean I chat a lot."

Digging himself further into the unknown ditch he's already built, he added: "No, I've a name here…"

Quick thinking Adele realised what the heck the DJ was on about and asked: "Sasha Fierce?"

Chris replied: "Yes!" * Cringe *

Adele started cackling and told him: "That's Beyonce! Sasha Fierce is Beyonce's alter ego and she's now Mrs Carter, I wish I was Sasha Fierce." Oh the shame.

Trying to salvage back some sort of respect, for which he has just lost – on all accounts – Chris responded with: "I don't know how that's crept in."

We only hope he doesn’t cock up his mega new Top Gear role this bad.
