Chrissy Teigan knows how to shut the haters down. She's basically a pro at it. This time, though, she manages to outdo herself when some pretty vile commenters started doubting her ability to make babies.
Which is, we're sure you'll agree, hugely out of order.
So, at the Screen Actor's Guild awards on Saturday, Chrissy told Entertainment Tonight that "a little boy is next for sure," in reference to her plans to have another baby with John Legend. Rather than just, y'know, let her live her life, she started getting a lot of hate on Twitter because she's using IVF. And also those who were just really confused as to why she knew she was having a boy.
"Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah," she wrote. "And no, I am not pregnant."
"Anytime somebody asks me if I'm going to have kids, I'm like, 'One day, you're going to ask that to the wrong girl who's really struggling, and it's going to be really hurtful to them'. And I hate that."
But that still didn't stop some people. One tweeter said she should "give it a minute to try naturally" to which, an obviously upset Chrissy responded:
She's been very open about her fertility issues, saying on the TV show FABlife back in 2015: "I will say, honestly, John and I are having trouble. We would have had? kids five, six years ago if it'd happened. But my gosh, it's been a process."
Why is a woman's baby-making process up for discussion? It's her body, her decision, and she's been trying for nine years! Give the woman a break!
In the meantime, we hope Chrissy keeps posting gorge pics of daughter Luna on Instagram. Because that child is GORGEOUS.
