Christine McGuinness has spoken out about the ‘tough year’ her and husband Paddy McGuinness had faced following the news he’d been spotted out partying with Nicole Appleton.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Nicole revealed: “As a family we’ve had an awful lot to deal with, but you can only do your best in a relationship and like anything else it takes working at and we’re working things through.”
Back in February, Paddy was pictured looking cosy on a night out with Nicole resulting in Christine reportedly kicking her husband out of their Cheshire house.
Christine later seemingly forgave Paddy and allowed him back into the family home.
A source at the time told The Sun: “The happiness and welfare of their children is the most important thing for both Christine and Paddy and they are determined to stick together as a family and move forwards.”
Opening up about that time to OK!, Christine admitted: “The recent headlines made us open our eyes. It made us realise we have to make some changes. We were like: ‘We can do better than this, we can make each other a lot happier.’”
Over the weekend, the pair seemed to be back to normal as they shared some Twitter banter.
Christine hilariously called Paddy out for his little white lie about childcare.
He falsely clamied he was looking after his kids on his own... and then got owned by his wife.
He wrote: "Morning! It’s the weekend, it’s raining, I’ve got the kids on my own and I’ve not planned anything to do! #Help".
She then replied: “Stay calm love I was only in the shower!. You haven’t got the kids on your own I’m here!. and my mum is staying all weekend 😁 I’ve planned our whole day, your going to love it 👌🤣".
LOL.
