According to a pool worker at Cilla Black's villa in Spain, the legendary TV presenter passed away after suffering a stroke on Saturday.

Pool worker Antonio reportedly said: “Everything had been fine. It was a stroke.

"She hadn’t been here since last year, but she arrived on Friday and on Saturday she died.

“I knew her from years back, she was very friendly, she’d been coming here for many years and she loved Spain a lot.”

Antonio also said that right before Cilla passed away, she appeared to be fine, with no real signs anything was wrong.

Cilla died at the age of 72 at her Spanish home.

The singer, whose career spanned 50 years, passed away at her property in Estepona on the Costa del Sol.

A spokesperson for Spanish police said: “We are still awaiting autopsy results but everything at this stage is pointing towards her death being the result of natural causes.”

It is thought Cilla flew to Spain last week with one of her sons and she passed away in her sleep overnight.

Our thoughts are with Cilla's family and friends at this time.
