CJ's arrest appears to be linked to the claims he made in his 2015 autobiography CJ: My Journey From The Streets To The Screen, in which he spoke about his experience of living homeless in Amsterdam – and how he once had to defend himself from a knife-wielding mugger.
“He caught me on the wrong day and I just snapped,” he wrote about the incident.
“I punched him so hard in the face, knocked the knife out of his hand and threw him in the canal. I fully suspect I killed him. I’ve no idea what happened to him.”
CJ continued: “It was the only outburst of violence I’ve ever done. That’s one of the main reasons why I absolutely abhor all violence.”
The TV personality also opened up about his past as a 17-year-old rent boy, admitting that he doesn’t regret that part of his life.
“My body was the only commodity I had and if I wanted to eat, I had to sell it... I wish I hadn’t had to do it but I don’t regret doing it,” he added.
