After a stressful few months, Coleen Rooney put her legal battle with Rebekah Vardy to one side, finally getting back to what she does best: going on holiday.
The WAG enjoyed a trip to Dubai with husband Wayne and their four boys, where they swam with dolphins, took a boat ride, and stayed in a swanky £7k-a-night hotel. And fans couldn’t help noticing how incredible the star looked, as she took to the beach wearing an array of bikinis and showing off some serious abs.
Coleen – who is mum to Kai, 12, Klay, nine, Kit, six, and four-year-old Cass – shared snaps from the getaway, telling her 925k followers they’d had “the best family holiday”, and adding, “Dubai you were fantastic #grateful”.
She and former footballer Wayne, 36, were staying in the Jumeirah Al Qasr hotel, where a week’s stay in the Presidential Suite will set you back close to £50k. It has its own waterfall, marble pillars, and the villas come with a private butler.
But it was Coleen’s beach bod that had everyone talking, with one fan commenting on the photos, “Coleen, you look absolutely gorgeous”. Another follower wrote, “You’re looking amazing”, while a third called her “stunning”. And a source tells heat it’s taken some intense gym sessions to get there, even with her infamous boot protecting a leg injury.
“Coleen has been working out lots, it really helped her mentally in the lead up to the trial and to de-stress her,” our insider says. “As well as going to the gym, she was doing Pilates and spin classes and has never felt fitter. Obviously, she couldn’t do things like running because of her leg, but she had tailor-made workouts done for her to help keep up her fitness.
“She loves being in a bikini and was very happy to show her body off. She really relaxed on holiday and didn’t work out, but now she’s back home, she’s back on it.”
The family flew out on the final day of the already-infamous Wagatha Christie libel trial, which saw Becky, 40, go head-to-head with Coleen, who accused her of selling stories from her private Instagram. The High Court is due to return a judgement soon, but sources tell heat Coleen feels like she’s already won.
“She’s confident everyone can see she’s the innocent party in all this,” says an insider close to Coleen, who kickstarted a media storm when she accused “Becky Vardy’s account” back in October 2019.
And friends say Coleen’s now planning to reach out to her nemesis to settle things once and for all. We’re told, “She feels vindicated, but she’s not enjoyed all the nastiness. She’d prefer to be the bigger person and wants to speak to Becky to see if they can put it all behind them. It’s not that she wants a friendship with her – she doesn’t – but she also doesn’t want this dragging on.”
But most of Coleen’s friends don’t think her plan will work. “Becky’s been left absolutely fuming about how she was treated during the trial and felt it was all unfair. Whatever the outcome, she won’t be shy about going on chat shows and speaking her mind about Coleen. She maintains she was the one who was wronged and will never forgive Coleen for what she’s put her through.”
