Coleen Rooney is ready to add another accolade to her belt and become an agony aunt to the stars. Yes, we’ve been told the star has been offered her own podcast, where she would offer listeners and celeb guests advice, while drawing on her own life experiences.

And with Wayne Rooney for a husband, four boisterous sons to look after, and a world-famous court battle behind her, she has plenty of those.

We’re told, ‘She recently recorded an episode of Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place and she loved doing it. Producers think she’s a great guest and would be an even better host. They want a show where listeners message her with their problems and she gives help and advice, all while drawing on her own experiences.’

The source adds, ‘Coleen’s been through a lot that could help others, and she has a very understanding and non-judgemental way with people. Despite her wealth and fame, she’s still seen as very down-to-earth and trustworthy. If the show’s a success, bosses would love to get a celebrity version, where Coleen talks to her famous friends and gives them life advice.’

Coleen has been married to ex-footballer Wayne for 16 years, but the couple, both 38, have been living apart since the summer, when he began managing Championship team Plymouth Argyle and moved from the family home in Cheshire to the south coast.

The star – who shares sons Kai, 14, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six, with Wayne – recently gave a glimpse into the couple’s marriage. Laughing that the pair are ‘past’ romantic gestures, Coleen shared that they do still make time for date nights, saying, ‘We love a concert. That’s probably one of our favourite things to do, just with us or with friends. We also like a night in, just sitting in front of the telly, catching up on things. We always try to make time for each other, no matter what.’

She also discussed coping with the distance between them, revealing, ‘We see Wayne a couple of times a week, which is good. He went to America, so this is a bonus because, even though it seems like far away, it’s easier to get to than Washington DC. There’s lots of FaceTime.’

Now, our source reveals, ‘Among her friends and family, Coleen is the one they always turn to for help to solve their problems. Obviously, she has had her own experiences with solving issues and friends betraying her, so she knows what to do – plus she has so many words of wisdom when it comes to relationship problems and being a mum.’

Indeed, from her famous WAG court battle to Wayne’s infidelities, Coleen has been through plenty. In 2022, she won her libel case against fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy, 42, in a saga that would become known as ‘Wagatha Christie’. The epic High Court battle came after Coleen accused Rebekah’s Instagram account of leaking stories about her family to the press, and she later described the court experience as ‘painful’ and ‘very difficult’.

Alongside friendship fallouts, Coleen’s had her fair share of marital woes, too. Opening up in 2023 about her choice to stick by her husband despite multiple cheating allegations, Coleen said, ‘Every time Wayne’s gone off the rails, it’s been a stupid, drunken, spur-of-the-moment thing. My message is, “If there’s something to work at, if the love’s still there, why would you throw that away?” Mistakes have happened, but I’ve always known Wayne’s loved me.’

And while a move into presenting would be a big change, we’re told she’s excited. ‘It would be a step out of her comfort zone, as Coleen hasn’t presented anything in such a long time. But she loved doing interviews last year to promote her autobiography and documentary,’ we’re told. ‘It gave her a feel for it all again, and she knew she just needed to wait for the right project, something she feels passionate about and that she can fit around her family. A podcast would be perfect.’
