There’s nothing Coleen Rooney likes more than a sunshine holiday, so it was quite a shock to see that she hadn’t joined the rest of her family on their recent trip to Barbados.
While her three eldest sons – Kai, nine, Klay, six, and Kit, three – were in the Caribbean with dad Wayne and Coleen’s parents, Tony and Colette, the 33-year-old WAG was back in the UK with an infection and looking after her youngest boy, 18-month-old Cass.
Posting on Twitter, she wrote, “Lovely morning in the fresh air with Cass. We had planned to be with the rest of our family in Barbados for half-term break. Unfortunately, I became poorly with an infection before we were due to leave. I am not able to join them for the time being, even though I am feeling better.”
But heat has been told Coleen was also keen to avoid the whole holiday due to tensions between her and Wayne, who celebrated his birthday in Barbados, with Coleen writing on Twitter, “Have a brilliant day with our boys. All our love always xxx.”

“It’s not like Coleen to miss a holiday, but she knew she couldn’t face over a week of it. The thought of the potential stony silences and tension between her and Wayne and the explosive rows that would likely happen put her off. The infection was a blessing in disguise.”

Over the past two years, Wayne and Coleen – who have been together since they were at school – have experienced many issues in their marriage, mainly due to Wayne’s drunken behaviour.
heat told you last week that the couple had clashed over Coleen’s recent outburst against fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy, in which she claimed leaked stories about her had come from Rebekah’s Instagram.
“The rows about Rebekah have made things even worse – Coleen and Wayne are just at each other’s throats,” we’re told.
“Usually it’s him who tries to offer an olive branch, but he’s so raging about the Vardy situation that he can’t be bothered.”
