We’re liking how Coronation Street actor Simon Gregson and his wife Emma Gleave announced that they’re having a baby.
Simon posted a photo proudly displaying Emma’s baby belly alongside his beer belly - and it’s mega cute. At present, Steve’s gut is possibly bigger than Emma’s.
Simon wrote: “After a stressful few months... myself and @emmagleave are excited to announce...”
Yeah, getting a beer gut is SO STRESSFUL.
But it is nice to see a bloke prepared to embarrass himself while supporting his lady. And for that Simon gets a big thumbs up from us.
This will be the couple’s third child – they’ve already got two sons called Alfie and Harry.
Simon also tweeted something about loving pregnant ladies as it means free lifts to the pub, though we suggest he stops there with the running alcohol joke before Emma swiftly knees him in the crotch.
Simon plays Steve McDonald on Corrie, and has appeared on the show since 1989. Steve has dealt with depression, and will soon be marrying Michelle Connor, who’s played by Kym Marsh.
