Courtney Cox’s secret wedding – close friend Ed Sheeran breaks his silence!

Theories about their nuptials started to spiral out of control as Johnny was pictured wearing a wedding band on his left hand, while the couple took a walk in New York.

But we can now confirm these rumours are NOT true.

Ed Sheeran last night told heat there was no wedding – unless it was done very secretly. But even that’s doubtful, because the Give Me Love singer is so close to the couple.

“[The wedding] did not happen,” Ed told us at the Q Awards in London.

“They may have got married secretly but I was not there. If I was to get married I don’t know if I’d have loads of people there so I wouldn’t be offended if I wasn’t invited to these people’s weddings.”

Courteney’s previously spoken of her excitement about her forthcoming wedding but admits getting engaged was ‘beautiful’, with Johnny proposing with her 10-year-old daughter Coco and close friend, Jennifer Aniston, all involved.

“Johnny first asked Coco,” Courteney told Jimmy Kimmel.

“He said, 'I'd like to marry your mom,' and gave her a little diamond ring. She said, 'Great, I'm going to camp tomorrow. Let's do it right now.' So, they decided they wanted to do it that night because we were leaving for Turks and Caicos and she was going to camp.

“We went to Jen's house for dinner because it was Coco's birthday and she was godmom. They made a plan to count down from three and when they got to one, he was gonna get down on his knee and say, 'Will you marry me?' and she was gonna say, 'Will you marry him?' It was just beautiful.”

It does sound pretty perfect.
