Courtney Stodden has opened up about her battle with depression after admitting it has become worse since she fell pregnant with her first child.

The reality TV star, who made headlines when she married the then 50-year-old actor Doug Hutchinson when she was just 16, confessed she is finding it difficult to adapt to her pregnancy.

"I suffer from depression. My depression affects my appetite, sleeping patterns and overall perspective on life", the 21-year-old told Us Weekly.

"At times, I have severe insomnia and other times I find myself sleeping too much."

She added: "I have feelings of hopelessness but experience many moments of absolute euphoria."

Her revelation comes only weeks after she confirmed she is having her first baby with her now 55-year-old husband.
