Things aren’t looking good for ex-Another Level crooner Dane Bowers. The singer has been convicted of assault at Croydon Magistrates’ Court today.

Bowers was charged with the assault back in May after his former fiancée Sophia Cahill claimed he struck her in the face leaving her with a bloody nose. The fight reportedly happened in front of the model’s 1-year-old son at Cahill’s home. Sophia said that her ex also yanked her hair and grabbed her throat.

In court Dane pleaded not guilty to the charge claiming that he flailed his arms in self-defence during a scuffle and that the bloody nose was a complete accident.

District Judge Andrew Sweet disagreed and found Bowers guilty of the assault charge saying, ‘I am satisfied that he assaulted her in the manner she described.’

The case has now been adjourned until 15th October when Dane will face sentencing. The singer could face prison time for his crime.
