Sad news – Danielle Harold is leaving EastEnders. She plays sassy teen mum Lola Pearce, granddaughter of Billy Mitchell.

She “gave birth” to daughter Lexi in a live 2012 scene. Hardcore.

We have one word for this: NO. Because we love Lola.

Danielle said:

"I've had the most amazing time at EastEnders having been involved in some exciting storylines.

"I'll miss everyone here and am looking forward to the future."

EastEnders’ exec producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: “Danielle is a fantastic actress and I genuinely look forward to seeing her shine in future roles away from Square."

At least there’s a chance that Danielle could be back on the show, because everyone knows that EastEnders characters never really die, even sometimes when they have ACTUALLY died (a la Dirty Den).

Jake Wood who plays Max Branning on the show announced that he’s leaving the soap a couple of weeks ago much to the outrage of fans – but he’s only taking a year out from the soap.

Thank god for that, because there’s no other human being who so strongly resembles a baked bean, yet is still very sexy with it and WE NEED OUR MAX FIX.

Gutted that Danielle is leaving, though.
