Danny Dyer has been accused of getting a little too personal with a part of Mary Berry’s anatomy at the TV Choice Awards earlier this week.
Yes, according to witnesses, the EastEnders actor licked the Great British Bake Off star’s ear while he was picking up his gong for Best Soap.
“Danny came from the other side to the rest of the cast and surprised Mary,” said an insider. “He leant right over her and licked her ear.
She tried to keep her composure but was clearly very shocked.”
But apparently, Danny's a massive fan of Mary and was just gave her a respectful peck on the cheek. Bless him, camera angles can play havoc.
But the misconstrued smooch wasn't the only odd thing Danny was claimed to have done that evening, as according to The Sun, the 37-year-old went on a rant at the host, David Mitchell, after he couldn’t hear what Danny had asked him when he was collecting his award for Best Soap Actor.
Apparently after this, Danny ended up being followed by a member of the EastEnders team to ensure he didn’t get himself into anymore hot water.
“She even followed him into the toilet, they were so worried about the state he was in,” a source added. “But it’s for his own sake and to protect him because he’s actually one of the most popular members of the staff. The bosses love him.”
